Etta Viola Claybrook was born in Adair county,Missouri, April 7,1880,and departed this life at the Grim Smith hospital April 25,1933,being at the time of her death 53 years and 18 days old.She was the daughter of W. J. and Ellen Claybrook.

On December 25,1900 she was united in marriage to J. M. Walters.To this union were born four children.Clyde and Claud,twins,both preceded her in death.Those who,with the father,survive the mother are Hallie and Stella,both at home,and were at her bedside at the time of her death.

She also leaves a mother and step-father,Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Walters;two brothers,Frank Claybrook of Sedro Woolly, Wash.,Mike Claybrook of Hurdland,Mo.,one half-brother, C. E. Claybrook of Greencastle,Mo.,and two half-sisters in the West,with many other relatives and friends to mourn her departure.

She was converted at the age of 18 and united with the United Brethern Church.On April 5,1924,she united with the Free Will Baptist Church at Stahl,and has been a constant member since.She was a member of the Mission Society,also the Cradle Roll superintendent.

Throughout her sickness she had done a great deal of suffering.It brings to mind the words of Paul."Love suffereth long;and is kind love beareth all things, believeth all things hopeth all things,endureth all things,Love never faileth."God who doeth all things well has called her home.

She is resting, sweetly resting,
Death has closed her eyelids now
She is resting with her Savior,
Glory shineth on her brow
She is resting, sweetly resting,
For the loved one do not weep
for we know she is with Jesus,
That she sleeps this peaceful sleep.
