James W. Cox, an Oak Cliff resident of many years, passed away on Dec 2, 1980 in Methodist Hospital after a very brief illiness.

He lived his childhood in Honey Grove TX and was the son of J.W. Cox Sr. and Ethel Robertson Cox. Mr. Cox married on June 24, 1933 to Mary Leoma Johnson. They had one son, Jimmy Leon Cox.

He was very active in his spae time, participating in golfing, bowling, bicycling and playing the organ. The Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers was his spectator favorities.

Mr. Cox was a man of love, compassion and peace, who served as an example of the christian faith to all who knew him. He enriched many lives.
