Born on a farm near Kelly in Nemaha County, KS, son of Fred & Mary (Wessel) Hermesch, oldest of 16 children. Grew up in Kelly, attended St Bedes school and helped on the farm. Married Mildred Lehmkuhl , Sept. 24, 1941 at St Augustine Catholic Church in Fidelity., they celebrated 66 years of marriage together, she survives of the home, other survivors include daughter Betty and husband, Jerry Banaka of Manhatten. Mass of Christian Burial April 25, 2008 at Sts Peter and Paul Catholic Church, burial at Church cemetary. Laur Funeral Home at Seneca is in charge of arrangements. Manhatten Mercury Wed. April 23, 2008.
