Mrs. Gynell "Nell" Hiers Dyals, 72, died Monday (April 28, 2008) at her residence after a brief illness.
She was a native of Pierce County but has resided in the Waycross area for most of life. She was the wife of the late Wendell Dyals and was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Hiers and Cora Riggins Hiers. She was a homemaker.
The survivors include her daughter, Robin McMillan (husband Julian) of Waycross; a son, Rusty Nasworthy of Waycross; seven grandchildren, Ashley Herndon, Katie Herndon, Jenny McMillan, Pacey McMillan, Casey Turner, Jamie Nasworthy all of Waycross and Jacob Nasworthy of Alma; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Vassie Mae Aldridge (husband Robert) of Waycross.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. The burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
