REDLANDS - Dr. R. Leslie Ward was honored at open house marking his 90th birthday Jan. 29 at the San Bernardino County Museum.
The open house, co-hosted by his family, Ellsworth and Barbara ward, healdsburg; Lavaun Sutton, Loma Linda and his wife, Myrtle, was attended by some 150 guests including relatives, friends and former patients.
Ward is a 1929 alumnus of Loma Linda University School of Medicine and was a general practitioner for more than 50 years in Arizona and California, practicing in Redlands until 1980.

R. Leslie Ward, M.D., 90, a 36 year resident of Redlands, died October 31, 1984.
He was a Medical Doctor for 55 years and practiced medicine in Redlands for 36 years.
Survived by his wife, Myrtle Ward of Redlands; one daughter Lavaun Sutton of Loma Linda;
one son Ellsworth Ward of Healdsburg, CA.;
one brother, George Ward of Seattle, WA.;
one sister Ruby Green of Albuquerque, NM;
five grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday at 2:30 P.M. at the Calimesa Seventh Day Adventist Church. Interment service Monday at 10 A.M. at Montecito Memorial Park. Visitation today, 12 Noon to 9 P.M. and Saturday, 9 A.M. to 12 Noon, Hughes Loma Linda Mortuary. The family suggests those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Voice of Prophecy in Dr. Ward's name.
