I can't begin to tell you how much I loved this woman. She was the most precious, sweet, loving, funny, life loving grandmother that ever was. She loved life and made life a joy for anyone around her. She was lively right up until her death in 1975. One of her family was quoted in saying that he love her and she was so spunky. On her death bed she spoke of living life to the fullest. She expressed her plan to remarry. It is just like her to be hopeful and full of the joy of living. I miss her so much and have never known another like her.
Not once did I ever hear her utter a bitter or resentful word about anyone. She just loved her life and she made everyone around her feel the joy. It is rumored that she owned many acres of land and somehow lost it. It is a mystery to us all what happened to her property. None of us have been able to find out about this mystery.
After her divorce from her 1st husband, Eliza Frances Reynolds Potter m. about 1908 to 2nd Thomas Davis b about 1863 KY. Thomas had a son of his own in the household. Eliza, who we called "Grannie" never spoke of Thomas Davis to us, so we know very little about him.
