WILLS POINT - Services for Gene Griffith, 96, Wills Point, are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Allan Fuller Funeral Home chapel, Wills Point, with the Rev. Robert Acker officiating.

Graveside services are scheduled for 1 p.m. at Grove Hill Memorial Park, Dallas.

Mr. Griffith died April 26, 2008, at his residence.

He was born Jan. 18, 1912, in Granbury to the late Howard E. and Margie Muncy Griffith. He grew up in Dallas and served in the Navy during World War II. He retired from Fisk Electric Co. in Dallas, and was a member of IBEW Local No. 59 for 68 years. After retirement, he worked for J&D Feed Store in Wills Point. He lived in Wills Point for 35 years, was a former member of Colonial Baptist Church of Dallas, a current member of Faith Baptist Church of Quinlan, and a member of Masonic Lodge No. 12 AF&AM in Dallas for more than 50 years.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Frances Griffith, Wills Point; daughters, Janet Kay Griffith Gilmore, Dallas, Carol Gene Griffith Brewer, Wills Point, and Donna Leatha Griffith, Plano; brothers, Clarence Griffith and Weldon Griffith, both of Dallas, and Oliver Griffith, Alto; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
