Doris L. Felzien, 78 of Brush, died Wednesday morning at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush. She was born November 21, 1929 in Bird City KS to John and Carrie Pittman. She married Lowell Felzien September 6, 1947 in St. Francis, KS. They moved to Brush in 1956 and have live here since. Doris worked for the Sunset Manor and for the East Morgan County Hospital before she retired. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She enjoyed needle crafts, baking, and especially spending time with her family, friends, and neighbors. She is survived by her sons, Larry Felzien of Tucson, AZ and Ronald Felzien of Brush, one sister Elouise Felzien of Burlington, five grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Gerald, and 4 sisters Betty, Bertha, Blondie, and Mildred. Visitation will be held on Monday from 9-12 noon at the Heer Mortuary in Brush. A funeral service will be held Monday at 2pm at the Bethlehem Luther Church in Brush. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
