Mr. Bloom was born Sept. 18, 1910. He attended local schools and began working for the Anaconda Co. in 1926.He and the former Ruth McCaskin (1914-1993) were married in Anaconda Jan. 6, 1934.
He enlisted in the Navy in 1942 and served as a chief pharmacist mate. Following discharge in 1945, they moved to Tacoma.
They returned to Anaconda in 1952. He was employed with the Butte, Anaconda and Pacific Railway until 1958 when he returned to work at the Anaconda Smelter. He retired July 1, 1970, due to a disability.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a foster daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James N. Violett, Spokane; a sister, Mrs. Brown, Hood River, Ore., two grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
