Raymond J. Crane married first, Adele Sutton in about 1938. Their son Raymond Sutton Crane, was born January 24, 1939. The family can be located at 176 Fisher Avenue on the 1940 Eastchester, NY census.
According to the U.S. Dept. of Veteran Affairs BIRLS file, Raymond enlisted in the U.S.Army on June 13, 1945, He proudly served his country as a TEC 4 during World War II, and was honorably discharged on July 24, 1946.
Raymond and Adele's marriage was short-lived, and after they divorced, she married Kenneth Carr Wright, who adopted her son Raymond Sutton Crane.
Raymond married second, Kathleen "Kitty" (Venech) in 1947 and had a daughter, Pamela, who was born about 1950. They lived in one of the Carolina's where they operated "Sky Lounge", a restaurant/ bar and grill, near a local military base. Raymond and Kitty divorced in 1958.
Raymond died of throat cancer on January 12, 1973. He was predeceased by his father Michael Andrew Crane, his mother Mary Agnes (Clinton) Crane, his brother John Joseph, infant twin brothers Michael and Andrew (less than 1 day old) and young sisters May and Marion, (at 8 and 3 months old respectively).
At the time of his passing, Raymond Joseph was survived by his son Raymond, his daughter Pamela, 3 sisters, 3 brothers, their spouses and children, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Raymond J. Crane was interred in Long Island National Cemetery on January 16, 1973
