ELMER T. WYGANT
Elmer T. Wygant, South Main St., Sandy Lake, died at 1:15 a.m. today in Grove City Hospital after an extended illness. He was 77.

Born Feb. 8, 1892, he was a son of the Rev. William and Annie Fogel Wygant. He lived in Sandy Lake since 1947, and prior to that had lived in Franklin, Pa., and Sharpsville.

In September 1910 he married Nellie Orr, who died Aug. 16, 1963. In June 1965 he married Helene Gutherie, who survives.

He had been employed by the Joy Manufacturing Co., Franklin, Pa., before his retirement. He was a member of the Sandy Lake United Presbyterian Church.

He leaves, besides his widow, three sons, William C. and Joseph A. Wygant, both of Sharpsville RD 1, and Thomas E. Wygant, Sandy Lake; a daughter, Jean, wife of Richard Troy, Sandy Lake; a brother, Harry, Rocky Grove, Pa.; 13 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

A son, Clayton, and a daughter, Ruth Watson, preceded him in death.

Burial in Hillcrest Cemetery, Hermitage (formerly Hickory Twp.), Mercer Co., PA.
