Hazel Mildred Gardner was the first child of Alfred George and Harriett Ada Keller Gardner. She married Leon Benson Muench on November 18, 1923 in her parents home in Garden City KS. After his death in December 1962 she began traveling the world. She also began to china paint and became quite good and a member of the Boot Hill Porcelain Art Decorator's club in Dodge City. She was also an active member of the First Presbyterian Church having played the piano, taught Sunday School and served as an elder. She was a member of the Atheneum Club and the Dodge City #12 Social Order of the Beauceant. She is survived by her only child, Karen Kay Muench Sites (Mrs Charles R), two grand daughters, Hazel Anne Sites Hunt and Diedre Elaine Sites Hendrickson. She also leaves three great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Benson Hunt, Julia Kay and Lauren Nicole Hendrickson. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brother (Harold Alfred) and a sister (Opal Naomi Butcher). Prior to her death she was an expert crossword puzzler and solitaire player. She studied the bible daily and had a very strong faith.
