Obituary:

Peter H. Deardorff, well known resident of Franklin County, a veteran of the Civil war, died at his home at Kauffman's Station, Tuesday night at 11 o'clock following a long illness from cancer and a complication of ailments. He was aged 79 years and 4 months. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren church for 56 years.

Surviving are these sons and daughters: Samuel, Imperial, Neb.; Harry C., Homestead, Pa.; Daniel, Fargo, N.D.; Mrs. Harry Brindle, Franlingrove, Ill.; Mrs. Joseph Flory, Greencastle; Mrs. Jessie Sollenberger, Mont Alto; Miss Katie Deardorff, at home; one brother John Deardorff, Shady Grove; 22 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, leaving the house at 10 o'clock for Brownsville, Pa., where services will be held. Interment will be made in the Brownsville cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to attend the funeral without further notice.
