Mrs. Frances Davis, age 70, died Saturday, November 20, 2004 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis,TN. She was born in Yalobusha County and resided at 7140 Cr 95 Water Valley.
Visitation Services will be at Seven Oaks on Tuesday, November 23 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again for one hour prior to burial at Hopewell Baptist Church. Funeral services will be in Henry Chapel at Seven Oaks on Wednesday morning at 11:00 am. The procession will leave Seven Oaks and go to Hopewell Baptist Church for the one hour visitation prior to comittal service. Officiating will be Bro. Ed Burns, Bro. Jim Gore and Bro. Wesley Nicholas. Serving as pallbearers are: George Schmidt III , Timothy Hegwood, Joedy True, Scotty McCain, David Vick, Michael Shaw, Clay Davis and Joe Rieves. Honorary Pallbearers are George Schmidt, Jr. and Jamie True. There will be a reception following graveside in the Fellowship Hall at Hopewell Baptist Church.
Mrs. Davis was a Real Estate Agent for Century 21 and a homemaker. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church, The Pine Valley Historical Society, and The Yalobusha County Historical Society.
Survivors include her husband William Davis, of Water Valley; two daughters, Janice Elizabeth McGraw of Garland, TX and Debra Jean Davis Dise of Charlottesville,VA ; one son William "Billy" Davis,Jr of Clermont, FL; her mother Dorothy Littleton True of Water Valley: two sisters, Patricia Ann Schmidt of Virginia Beach, VA and Mary Juanita Hegwood of Wauchula,FL: two brothers, John L. True of Batesville, MS and James T. True of Water Valley. She also leaves two grandsons, Christopher McGraw and Partick McGraw. She was preceeded in death by her father Meshack True.

Although Frances has a grave marker next to her husband William Davis, she is acutally buried behind her parents Meshach and Dorothy True. Her son William Davis, Jr. is buried next to her.
