Dr. Nancy Pedersen Lunnen passed away peacefully in Ogden, Utah at the age of 89 surrounded by family. She was born June 28, 1934 in Salt Lake City, Utah to George Lavon Pedersen and Anne Elizabeth Andersen Pedersen. In 1952 Nancy married Ray G Abraham. They had one son Randy who they lost during infancy and three daughters who blessed them with nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. They divorced in 1976. She then married her second husband Robert Merrill Lunnen in 1980 and they enjoyed twenty years of marriage.

Nancy was known for her outstanding intellect which she utilized in order to acquire both a B.S. and M.S. at the University of Utah, and her PhD in education at Brigham Young University. Nancy was able to have a long career as an educator and administrator. She worked as an Elementary Teacher, a Principal for Granite School District, a Head Start Director, as the Director of Child Development for the Utah State Board of Education, and she ended her career testing for the National Assessment of Educational Progress.

Nancy had a number of hobbies that always kept her busy throughout her life. She was an avid artist who never ceased to amaze her family and friends with the quality of her paintings. You could always catch her spending countless hours of free time learning and playing different songs on the piano. Her talent for writing enabled her to publish two fictional children's books. She loved to travel and see new places, however, the moments she had at home with her family and many pets were the times that she valued the most.

Nancy is survived by her three daughters: her ten grandchildren: great grandchild.
