Charles Andrew Linn, age 77, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. Born in Heber Springs on August 19, 1930, he was the son of the late Andrew and Geneva (Pate) Linn.
A lifetime resident of Heber Springs, Mr. Linn enjoyed his career as a freight truck driver. He was a veteran of the United States Marines and a member of the V.F.W.
Mr. Linn enjoyed dogs and riding four wheelers.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Mr. Linn is survived by two brothers, Doug Shearer and wife, Ina, of Wilburn and Mack Shearer and wife, Jan, of Rose Bud; one sister, Geraldine (Shearer) Lucas and husband, Fred, of Sherwood; one nephew, Chuck Cossey and wife, Laura, of Springfield, Illinois; and two nieces, Sue Webb and Johnnie Baker, both of Batesville; Mr. Linn is also survived by other relatives, nieces and nephews, and his many friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 25, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 26, at 10:00 a.m. in the Olmstead Chapel with Chuck Cossey officiating. Interment will follow in the Hardin Cemetery at Morganton. Arrangements are by Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc.
