Eunice departed this life the afternoon of November 9, 2006 at St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 68 years, 5 months and 12 days.
Eunice grew up in the Crocker and Waynesville communities, and graduated from Waynesville High School.
On August 18, 1956, at the Waynesville United Methodist Church, Eunice was united in marriage with Willard Edward Mize, and to this union five children were born: Willard Dean, Barbara Ellen, Charles Eugene, Herbert Michael and Brenda Louise.
From 1974 to 1984, Eunice worked at Fort Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska as a bagger at the commissary. Later in 1984, the family moved back to the Pulaski County, Missouri area where she went to work as a bagger at the Fort Leonard Wood commissary, and shortly earned the position of bagger supervisor.
Eunice loved reading and animals. She was a regular at the Waynesville Library, and was a member of the Pulaski County Humane Society. She loved her family and friends, and always put others' needs before her own.
Eunice was dearly loved, and will be sadly missed by her children: Willard Dean Mize, and wife, Donna, Charles E. Mize and Brenda McGhghy, and husband, Tim, all of Waynesville, and Herbert Michael Mize of St. Robert; brother: Kenneth L. Carmack, and wife, Pat of the state of Texas; 7 grandchildren: Brendon Dean, C.J., Joshua, Kristina, Jennifer and Ashley Mize and Nicole Thomas; 1 great granddaughter: Allison Randolph; one uncle: Herschell Cooper, and wife, Della of the state of Kansas; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Eunice was also preceded in death by her husband: Willard; daughter: Barbara Ellen; sister: Janet Carmack and daughter-in-law: Eva Mize.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 13, 2006 in the Memorial Chapel of Waynesville/St. Robert with Rev. Gary Humphrey officiating. The songs "Amazing Grace", "In The Garden" and "How Great Thou Art" were played. Serving as escorts were Willard Dean Mize, Charles Eugene Mize, Herbert Michael Mize, Timothy McGhghy, Bob Peschel and Lajos Zadravecz.
Burial followed in the Long Hollow Cemetery of Evening Shade, Missouri. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapel of Waynesville/St. Robert.
