Leta graduated from Dalhart High School. She married Carl Reeves on July 16, 1950 in Clayton, New Mexico. Leta and Carl moved their family to Lubbock in 1956.
Leta had a career in accounting and administration for Manchester Tank for 35 years. In 2009, during her retirement she began a second career working at Lubbock Independent School District in the Administration office. She actively worked up until her passing, enjoying every minute. She had a passion for her job and gardening.
She is survived by her children Bill Reeves and wife Terri of Mustang, OK, and Gary Reeves of Lubbock; 2 granddaughters Becky Webster and husband Chris of Waxhaw, NC and Katie Eckart of Mustang, OK; and 4 great grandchildren, Michael and Kylie Webster and Jesse and Kasey Eckart.
She was preceded in death by her husband Carl and her brother RW Spencer.
The immediate family will celebrate her life at a private ceremony.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Lubbock Meals on Wheels.
