Mrs. Josephine Carter, 90, Hillsboro, died at 4:30 a.m. Friday , June 7, 1974 at Memorial hospital, Mt. Pleasant.

She was born September 17, 1883, at Tamora, Neb., the daughter of William and Ada Dingman. On June 15, 1910, she married Rex Carter at St. Joseph, Mo. She was a member of Hillsboro Baptist church.

Surviving are a son, John W. Carter, Mt. Pleasant; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, at the Hillsboro Baptist church with the Rev. L. H. Smith officiating.
Burial was in the Hillsboro cemetery. A memorial to the Baptist church has been established.
