He was born August 7, 1907 in Gillingham, Kent, England. He immigrated to Nora Springs, Iowa with his parents when he was 14-years-old. He married Elizabeth White on June 29, 1935; their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in June of 1949. He had retired from the UP Railroad. He was a high priest in the LDS Church.
He is survived by his wife; sons, Richard Webster (Ruth), Newton, Iowa; James Butler, Denver, CO; and John David Butler (Lisa), Salt Lake City; one daughter, Beth Urses (John), Salt Lake City; one brother, Len Butler (Helen); several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 5, at 12 noon, at the McKay LDS Ward Chapel, 1625 South 5th East, with a Viewing one hour prior.
