"Mrs. Mary Frances Callender, a charter member of the Linwood Boulevard Christian church, now the Community church, died yesterday afternoon at her home, 3900 Manheim road. She was 66 years old. Death was caused by a heart attack after a fall on the ice two weeks ago.
Surviving are her husband, Willard H. Callender, a printer; a daughter, Mrs. J. L. Wheatley of Seneca, Kas.; two granddaughters, Yvonne Wheatley and Maielyn Wheatley; and three sisters, Mrs. F. B. Moren of Dallas, Tex., Mrs. W. P. Willimott of Los Angeles, and Mrs. Charles Thayer of 235 Ward Parkway." The Kansas City Times, February 25, 1936
