Bettyglen R. Clark, 90, passed away on Jan. 20, 2024, in Bloomington, Ill. "Bg" was born in Bloomington on Valentine's Day in 1933 to Betty and Glenn Render, their only child. She attended Bloomington public schools and graduated from Illinois State University, where she earned a degree in
education. While in college, she met her future husband, L. Benjamin Clark, on a blind date. They married in 1953 and over the next couple of years had two daughters, Carol and Susan. Ben and Bg and the girls lived in Rock Island, IL for many years, where Bg taught elementary school, and Ben taught and coached at Rock Island High School. They retired to Arizona, where Bg's parents had also retired and where Susan's family lived. Bg was preceded in death by her parents, and by her husband Ben in 2009.
A service will be held Monday, Jan. 29, 2024, at 2 PM at Beck Memorial Home in Bloomington. Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery in Bloomington.
