Lola "Jean" Adamson, 87, was reunited with Franklin "Bud" D Adamson.  She passed away peacefully at her home in Idaho Falls, ID, on February 8, 2024.

She was born on August 16, 1936, to Ralph Cleverly Barnes and Pearl Lucille Winans. Her and her sister (Joan) were identical twins. She would tell many stories of the shenanigans her and Joan had.  Jean was the second oldest of 7 siblings.

Jean graduated from Bonneville High School in 1954. On August 3, 1956 she married Bud in the Idaho Falls Temple and started their life journey. They were inseparable and shared a deep bond. Together, they made the decision to start a large family, and they were blessed with 10 children. They bought a farm in Ucon, Idaho where they proudly raised their kids. After their children were grown, Jean and Bud enjoyed exploring the country together, creating cherished memories along the way.

Family was very important to Jean and she spent countless hours planning family reunions and get togethers; each accompanied by brownies, punch, and a program. Despite the family's lack of musical talent, every Christmas program ended with what she called the "Heavenly Choir." Her goal was always to have treasured family memories.

Jean was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in numerous callings throughout her life. She enjoyed every calling she had and touched the lives of many people.

One of Jean's passions was genealogy, and she dedicated countless hours to researching and compiling various books on her family's history. Her work will be treasured by her family for generations to come.

Jean is survived by her loving family; daughters, Michelle (Jack) Johnson of Idaho Falls, ID, Nancy (Howard) Johnson of Ririe, ID, Carla (Rex) Reeve of Kuna, ID, Susan (Tom) Ivester of Salt Lake City, UT, Karen (Mike) Avery of Rigby, ID, Janet Koplin of Idaho Falls, ID, LeiAnn (Randy) Vanover of Pocatello, ID; sons, Michael (Cheryl) Adamson of Gilbert, AZ, Bob (Lisa) Adamson of St. George, UT, Roger (Aricka) Adamson of Eagle Mountain, UT; sisters, Joan Field of Grant, ID and Shirley Morris of Nephi, UT; 38 grandchildren and 74 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud, parents, 3 sisters, 1 brother and a granddaughter, Whitney Adamson.

Jean will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 19, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at the Ucon Stake Center, 2967 E 105th N, Idaho Falls.  The family will receive friends Sunday, February 18, 2024, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., at Eckersell Funeral Home, 101 West Main Street, Rigby, and prior to services at the church, Monday, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.  Interment will be in the Ririe – Shelton Cemetery.  Services are under the care of Eckersell Funeral Home in Rigby.
