History of Lycoming County by J F Meginnes

Thomas was the 3rd son of John Hays. He served as sheriff, prothonotary, treasurer & registrar & recorder of the county. He married a sister of the late Judge Huston & died in 1846. They had 8 children: Thomas, William, Charles, Jane, Mary, Sarah, Martha & Isabelle.


Addendum in regard to his burial: Thomas is listed in the LCG cemetery book with no dates. It does give a Section date of 38.
