BANDON - At his request, no services will be held for John Douglas Saunders, 71, of Bandon. Mr. Saunders was born Dec. 29, 1914, at Glendale, Ariz., and died Aug. 15 at Roseburg. He was a retired contractor and cement finisher, and was a paratrooper during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Wildis Saunders of Bandon; stepsons, Larry Hull of Kennewick, Wash., Jerry Hull of Corvallis; brothers, Erie Saunders of San Diego, Calif., Burt Saunders of Idaho; sisters, Bessie Gray, Alene Goodwin and Sarah Beasley, all of Arizona; and numerous nephews and nieces.
