Anna Belle was born on the family farm about 3 miles northwest of Rosston, OK. She was innately provided with an outgoing, & some would say, a pleasantly assertive personality.
Anne Belle graduated from Rosston High School & soon thereafter she moved to Oklahoma City & began work for a Dodge automobile dealership in downtown Oklahoma City.
On April 22, 1951, Anna Belle married John W. Cartmill. In the mid-1960s they purchased & operated Edmond Motor Freight in Edmond, OK until the early 1980s. Anna Belle then became employed by Cecil Oil Properties for a number of years. Later on, both Anna Belle & John helped their daughter, Susie, operate Satin Stitch, a store in Edmond that monogrammed sports clothing.
A hard worker, Anna Belle cared deeply for others & she was always there to help people when needed. She was a caring & loving woman; she was the cornerstone of her family. She and Ruby, her younger sister, were best friends. Anna Belle left us too soon - she is sorely missed by her friends & family.
