Lawrence J. Burcar Age 93, passed away peacefully April 14, 2008 with family at his bedside. Born in Red Lodge, Montana, he moved to Tacoma in 1919 and was a graduate of Stadium High School. He married Paulene Tilenda in 1942. He was a World War II veteran, serving proudly in Patton's army in Europe. After the war, he and Paulene eventually moved to Bellevue and opened the Bellevue Fireplace Shop. Retiring in 1977, they were active members of the Bellevue Sister City Organization and traveled extensively. Lawrence was a gracious man, loved by all who knew him, and he will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by Paulene, his wife of 59 years. Interment following at Calvary Cemetery.
