Frank Jahnel Died Tuesday
Was Well Known County Farmer

Frank Jahnel, who had been bedfast since April 1st. passed away Tuesday morning at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha.
Deceased was born in this county on what is known as the Minot Wilcox farm south of Blair. Later the family moved to the Sunnyside school district where he grew to manhood and where he received his education.
He was married to Miss Maude Wright and to them three daughters and one son were born. The girls are Mrs. John Kroeger, Mrs. Byron McDonald, and Mrs. Dave Kroeger; and the son is Clark. All reside in this county and these with the widow, mourn their loss deeply.
Mr. Jahnel, also leaves three brothers, Fritz, William and Chris, all of this county; and four sisters, Mrs. Lena Anderson of Ladysmith, Wisconsin; Mrs. Ed Matthiesen of Blair, Mrs. Elsie Miller of Kennard, and Mrs. Charles Craven of Randolph, Nebraska.
Funeral services are being held, under the direction of C.K. Bendorf, this afternoon. A service at two o'clock will be held at the home and at two-thiry at the Methodist church in Kennard and interment will be made in the Kennard cemetery.

Kennard Farmer, 63, Died Tuesday After A Five Month Illness

Funeral services are being held at Kennard this afternoon for Frank Jahnel, 63, lifetime farmer of that vicinity who died early Tuesday at the Methodist hospital in Omaha following a lingering illness.
Bedfast since May, Mr. Jahnel had been taken to the hospital Sunday.
The services are being held at 2 p.m. at the Kennard Methodist church, the Rev. David Simpson of Arlington officiating and interment to follow in the Kennard cemetery. The Bendorf Funeral Home of Blair is in charge of arrangements.
Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jahnel, Sr., Mr. Jahnel was born south of Kennard March 16, 1879. He and Miss Maude Mae Wright of Kennard were married January 28, *1914, and have since resided in the Kennard vicinity, their present home being north of Kennard.
Mr. Jahnel is survived by his wife, Maude, one son, Clark, of Kennard; and three daughters, Mrs. John Kroeger and Mrs. Dave Kroeger of Bennington and Mrs. Byron McDonald of Omaha. There are four sisters, Mrs. Charles Craven (Dora) of Randolph, Mrs. Ole Anderson (Lena) of Bruce Wisconsin, Mrs. Ed Matthiesen (Rose) of Blair and Mrs. Elsie Miller of Kennard; and three brothers, Will, Fritz and Chris Jahnel, all of the Kennard vicinity. There are nine grandchildren.
