Berna L. Gonzáles, a resident of Las Vegas, NM but lived in Albuquerque, NM for close to eight years, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on January 30, 2024.
Berna graduated from Robertson High School in 1992. Berna started working at Tillie's shortly after which later became Cocina de Rafael where she was employed for 23 years.
Berna relocated in Albuquerque, NM in 2016 where she started working at Walmart until the present day.
Berna loved fishing, camping and the great outdoors. Berna loved to crochet for her nieces and nephews as well as spending time with her best friend and hero…her momma.
Berna was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ramón and Lugarda Trujillo of Las Vegas, NM and paternal grandparents, Ignacio and María Gonzáles of Anton Chico, NM as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Berna is survived by her parents, Ramón Gonzáles of Anton Chico, NM and Mary Ann Trujillo Gonzáles of Las Vegas, NM, brothers, Larry "Bart" Gonzáles and his wife, Irene "Minnie and Floyd Gonzáles and his wife, Alicia, sisters, Nicole Gonzáles-King (Chrisina), Renee Tenorio (Evaristo "Bamba") and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nephews.
Cremation has taken place and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Las Vegas, NM. The interment will follow El Embriedrado Cemetery, Los Montoyas, NM.
