Vincent Theodore Baker, of Madison, passed away on February 9, 2022, at 87. He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty years, Sylvia, and his cherished daughter, Christine. Vincent was born in Norwich, Connecticut, on October 3, 1934. He retired from Pratt and Whitney Aircraft after 38 years. He received an Honorary Discharge from the U.S. Army. He was a master carpenter, building anything from custom furniture to homes. He loved animals, was an avid fly fisherman, an intense competitor at everything from badminton to horseshoes, and loved watching his daughter, Christine, play basketball. Vincent was preceded in death by his parents Francis and Anna Baker, his sister Theresa, and his beloved in-laws Louis and Julia Onofrio. The family wishes to thank the exceptional caregivers at Apple Rehab in Guilford, CT.A visitation for Vincent is planned on Thursday, February 17, 2022, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Swan Funeral Home, 825 Boston Post Road in Madison, CT, followed by a 11am Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret Church, 24 Academy Street, Madison. Burial with military honors will follow at West Cemetery, Madison.
