Alta Jeanette "Netta" Hart was born to Franklin Homer Hart and Catharine Baughman Hart in Fulton County, IL in 1870. She married John Henry Smith in Fulton Co, IL on 26 May 1888. They had three children who survived infancy: Frederick, Hazel Mae, and Pansee B. After John died in 1915 in KS, his body was shipped back to the Baughman Cemetery in Smithfield, IL. Alta then married John M. Wright in Parsons, KS abt. 1917. She died 7 Jan 1944 and was buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Parsons, KS.
