Lola Kay Wood, 77, of Duncan, passed away Friday, Nov. 7, 2014 at her home.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carter-Smart Funeral Home.
Kay was born March 26, 1937, in Duncan, to Theodore R. and Clara (Gardner) Farris she was a longtime resident of the area, she married Bill Wood Sept. 20, 1952, in Henrietta.
She is survived by her husband Bill of the home; three sons, Billy D. Wood and his wife Paula of Flower Mound, Texas; Larry Wood and his wife Stephanie of Bonham, Texas and Clifford B. Wood and his wife Jeanie of Bella Vista, Ark., a daughter; Venessa Shelton and her husband Jamie of Carrollton, Texas; brothers, Bill Farris of Denton, John Farris of Duncan; a sister-in-law, Jean Brinegar of Duncan; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Farris and his wife Shirley and a sister-in-law, Sidney Farris.
