POUGHKEEPSIE - Mary Callaghan Wood, 64, a lifelong resident of Poughkeepsie died Monday, April 30, 2001 in Hyde Park.
Ms. Wood was a homemaker.
Born in Poughkeepsie on Aug. 20, 1936 she was the daughter of the late John P. and Alice Briggs Callaghan.
She is survived by three sons, Robert Wood of Amenia, Patrick and Thomas Wood, both of Hyde Park; her daughter, Theresa Nace of Hyde Park, eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters, Therese Vanosdall and Pat Morgan, both of Poughkeepsie; several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by four brothers, James, John, Joe and Harold Callaghan.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, May 2 from 7 to 9 PM at Sweet's Funeral Home, Inc., Rte. 9, Hyde Park.
A Funeral service will take place 8PM during the hours.
Cremation will take place at the convenience of the family. Gravesite services and burial of her cremains will be 1PM Friday, May 4 at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, Rte. 9, Poughkeepsie.
Arrangements are under the direction of Sweet's Funeral Home, Inc., Rte. 9, Hyde Park, NY.
