Chris was born to Richard Wayne Bennett and Carol Margaret Bennett (Allen) on November 24, 1959, in Pittsburg, Kansas. He married Peggy Lynn Bennett (Kelly) on August 7, 1980, at Ridgecrest Church of Christ in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Chris worked for Johnston Products of Dallas after farming in McCune, Kansas. He was a faithful member of Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ. His hobbies were reading, hiking, and watching the "Cowboys" football games.
Chris is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Carol Bennett as well as his two sisters Lisa and Lori that were twins that passed shortly after birth.
