Nellie Warren was born in Boone county, Nebraska, September 17th, 1892. In 1912 she was married to Jay Loomis. To them was born one child who died at the age of three years. Mr. Loomis died in 1918.
November 25th, 1920, Mrs. Loomis was united in marriage to Elmer Smith of Albion. She died at Norfolk, February 5, aged 33 years, 4 months and 18 days. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, Elmer Smith, two step children, Walter and Hazel, her mother, Mrs. Lydia J. Warren, a brother, Harold Warren, of Loretto; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Moyer, of Jay Em, Wyoming, and two half sisters, Mrs. George Soward of Omaha and Mrs. Charles Klever, of Ogallala.
Mrs. Smith united with the Baptist church in Albion when a girl about sixteen years of age, but she moved away, there being no Baptist church where she lived, she united with the Methodist church of which she has since been a member.
The funeral services was held from the Methodist church in Albion, Sunday afternoon, February 7th, at two o'clock, being conducted by the pastor, Rev. Chas. G. Gomon. Interment was made in Rose Hill cemetery.

Records indicate there was a son born to Jay & Nellie on 7-23-1915 in Shepherd, Montana named Warren Eliot Loomis. He may have died shortly after birth as no other record could be found for him.
