Carol graduated from St. Joseph's Academy in 1953. She worked for 18 years at Dean Foods as a secretary. Carol married Paul R. Bain Sr. on June 11, 1955 in De Pere at St. Boniface Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on June 6, 2009. Carol enjoyed the special sunsets in Gulf Shores, Alabama with her husband, reading, and listening to Johnny Cash. Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Suamico and was deeply devout in her faith. Carol loved to let others know they were appreciated, and never passed up an opportunity to make someone else smile or laugh.
She is survived by her children, Paul Jr. (special friend, Betty), Laurie Bain Parker, Rick (Karrlin) Bain; grandchildren, Kristal, Paul Louis, Nicholas (Jenna), Kirsten (Ricky), Alex (Laura), Alyssa, Jordan, Meghan; and great-grandchildren, Tony, Jude, Samantha, Finley, Thomas; sister, Janet Charles; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Sr.; parents, Louis and Antoinette; siblings, John (Ruth) Smith, Bartholomew "Bud" Smith, Cornelius "Neil" (Virginia) Smith, Fabian Smith, Elsie Schmidt, Dorothy (Bernard) Vogels, Mary Ann Jensen, Rose Mary (Herbert) De Ruyter, Joan (Jim) Rickaby, Florence (Larry) Glodoski, Janice (Bill) Romenesko; son-in-law, Bob Parker.
Friends and family will gather at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave. from 9:30 to 11 am on Tuesday, February 6; Service to follow at 11 am. Inurnment will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
