John started working out of High School in Denver at a cement factory, driving a truck. Then worked at a fiberglass Company in Greeley, CO delivering parts all over the country. He enjoyed seeing new places. John ran his half of the ranch until his death.
He was an avid hunter, loved astronomy and watching the stars, and enjoyed collecting rocks and travelling all over the west exploring the off the beaten paths in his 4-wheel drive truck. He spent a short term in the Army and worked for an ammunition's depot. John was well educated with a very astute mind.
John is survived by his son, nephew, and a sister.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd & Ruth Yocam and his brother, David Yocam.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 31at at 11:00 AM in Linn Grove Cemetery in Greeley.
