Albert Lee Odom, 76, of Galvez, LA, passed away at his residence on Monday, January 23rd, 2017, surrounded by his loving family and his wife of 60 years, Mrs. Faye Odom.
A native of Baton Rouge, Mr. Odom retired from the Housing Authority "EBRP", and Painters & Allied Traders - Painters Local # 728.
Mr. Odom is survived by his wife; Faye L. Odom of Galvez, daughters; Betty Arleen Griffith and son-n-law Gilbert G. Griffith, Jr. of Greenwell Springs and Glenda M. Odom and Bobby Fitzgerald of Galvez, LA. Grandson; Brian Allen Griffith and great grandson; Aaden Allen Griffith and Kristi Cochran of Denham Springs. Brother; Frank Odom, Sr., sister-n-law Jeanie Odom, nephew; Frank Odom, Jr., brother n law; Wallace Leggin. Numerous other nephews and nieces and other relatives.
Preceded in death by his mother; Marcella Pitt Marler, his father; Charlie Lee Odom, of Richton, Mississippi, his grandson; Allen Lee Fitzgerald, his sister; Betty Arleen Odom and his brother; Jimmie Earl Marler.
Visitation will be in Ourso Funeral Home starting 5 to 9pm on Thursday, January 26th and resume on Friday, January 27th at 9 to 11am with services at 11am, Pastor Mike Robertson will officiate. Burial will follow at Carpenters Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales, LA.
