Son of Joel Adams Davis and his wife Winifred Hardison, who are also buried in this cemetery. Husband of Annie Braden (burial place unknown). Lawson Davis was born about 1840.

There is confusion as to his date of death, 16 May 1902, or 8 Mar 1898 as indicated on the C.S.A. tombstone application shown on a duplicate memorial page. Also uncertain is the actual location of his burial. The tombstone application indicates placement of this stone at Jackson's Baptist Church in Riddleville, GA. There is a photo of that C.S.A. marker in that cemetery taken by Jack P. Hailman in 2008. See FindAGrave #107873640 for the duplicate memorial.
