AGED PIONEER IS CALLED

Elizabeth Crawford, one of the early day pioneer ladies of this city departed this life at eight o'clock Monday morning, at the advanced age of 82 years 8 months and 20 days. For some time she has been failing in health, as the effects of old age were advancing upon her. For almost forty years she had made her home in east Salmon, where she died, attended to the last by her daughter, Mrs. Columbus Bates. John and Thos. Holbrook were her sons and Mrs. Pugh, who died in east Salmon some years ago, was her daughter. Her husband, Wm. Crawford, died here five years ago. Deceased was born in England. She was an excellent woman, kind and considerate of the welfare of those about her, and in the days of her full strength she did a great deal of good. In recent years she has not been able to go about much, and more recent arrivals did not become well acquainted with her; but in the hearts of the old timers there is a kindly feeling for Grandma Crawford. The funeral was held at the residence at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon.
