The deceased had been ill for several weeks. . . [She died] at St. Vincent's Hostal, and the immediate cause of her death was heart disease.
She has resided in this country for about 40 years, the later 16 years being in Astoria.
Fellow members of Queen Louise lodge,f which she was an honored member, will attend the funeral which will be held from Holmans Undertaking Parlors. . . Portland.
The deceased leaves a husband, Mr. August Scherneckau, two nieces and three nephews to mourn their loss. Her nephews and one niece reside in Germany. The remains will be cremated.
