Roy David Thompson was born on January 17, 1941 and passed away on January 14, 2024. David was predeceased by his mother Flois Thompson, father Roy James Thompson, brother James Nelson Thompson, granddaughter Sophia Anise Thompson and granddaughter Savanna Jo Thompson.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Patrick and Cindy Thompson, granddaughters Allyssia, Azelyn and Alexis Thompson, ex-wife Betty Thomson and ex-wife Peggy Thompson.
David spent his early childhood in Texas in Tyler and Palestine, before his family moved to Baytown. He graduated from Baytown's Robert E Lee High School in 1959. He moved out of Texas for work opportunities starting in 1968; first to Oklahoma and then later to California where he worked until he retired. David loved his family, his ranch, horses and dogs. He spent the last years of his life with his best friend Peggy Thompson.
