Born Jan. 4, 1939, in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late Nathan Nathaniel Allegood and Estelle Thompson Allegood.
She retired as business office supervisor at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Following the death of her husband, she operated Weaver Weedless Bait Company and was a volunteer at the Colquitt County Food Bank. "She was very much a people person. She loved music, dancing, playing cards, and dearly loved her cat, Precious," her family remembered. She was a member of Heritage Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Franklin Weaver.
Survivors include one son, Ladow Horace Weaver and wife Tina of Moultrie; two grandchildren, Halen Ladow Weaver and Jonathan Reene Weaver; one step-grandchild, Elyssa Fey Snyder; one great-grandchild, Ashton Tryst Weaver; her former daughter-in-law and best friend, Sarina May of Moultrie; one sister, Verue Norris of McDonough, Ga.; one brother, Bill Thompson and wife Aljean of Macon, Ga.; other siblings from her father's previous marriage; and her special friends, Laquita Middlebrooks and Georgia Powell.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
