Charlene is the cherished wife of 59 years to her high school sweetheart, Raymond Joseph; the loving mother of Kelly Rae Rice (Robin) and Jeffrey Dean; the adored grandmother of Rachael Elizabeth Warren (Sean), Shelby Catherine Anderson (Kevin), and Andrew Eric Rice; and the admired great-grandmother of Silas Raymond Warren, Evelyn Joyce Warren, and Victoria Wren Anderson. She also leaves behind her dear brother, Mark Irvin Allen.
An avid reader and lover of all things art, history, and literature, Charlene was a wealth of knowledge to anyone who knew her. She never shied away from hard work and would do anything for those she loved. After her retirement from Ford KTP, where she worked as an administrative assistant to the plant manager for 23 years, she spent her days golfing, going to BINGO, and spoiling her grandbabies. She loved to travel with her husband Ray, and could often be found trying her luck at the blackjack tables at the various casinos along their route.
Her beautiful life will be cherished by all those she left behind, but not forgotten. Her classical beauty was only surpassed by her compassion for others. She will be missed beyond measure.
She will be laid to rest following a private service and interment at Cave Hill cemetery on January 29th 2024.
