Funeral services for Ava Jan Williams, age 66, of Shelbyville, will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2024, in the chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home with Sally Russell officiating. Mrs. Williams passed from this life January 22, 2024, at Vanderbilt-Bedford Hospital after an extended illness.

Visitation with the family will be held Friday, prior to funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

A native of Bedford County Mrs. Williams was born on May 13, 1957, to the late Layton Adcock and Betty Jane Freeman Adcock. Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, David Adcock.

She was a graduate of Shelbyville Central High School class of 1975 and worked with Josten's for 30+ years.

She is survived by; loving husband of 49 years, David Phillip Williams; sons, Eric Williams and Adam Williams all Shelbyville; grandson, Tucker Williams; sisters, Ginger (Mike) Smith and Tina Adcock both of Shelbyville; along with several nieces and nephews.
