Woman Injured Sunday Dies This Morning

Mrs. Grace Emberson, 28, injured when hit by a machine operated by Al Trigwell, local automobile salesman, died at 10:30 o'clock this morning in a local hospital.

Mrs. Emberson was walking along the San Francisco highway near Santa Rita with Samuel Ragsdale Sunday night when Trigwell's car hit them. Ragsdale was killed Instantly, while Mrs. Emberson suffered a skull fracture. Trigwell was blinded by the lights of an approaching car, and did not see the couple he said.

Mrs. Emberson was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Sellers; one sister and two brothers [sic, s/b 4], all of whom live in Hattiesburg, and a husband, Hirschel [sic] Emberson, Salinas. She has resided in Salinas for the past nine months.

Funeral services will be held from the Salinas Funeral Parlors at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon.
