OAKWOOD – Lawrence E. "Larry" "PeeWee" Matson passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Ft. Wayne, IN.

He was born January 6, 1960, in Paulding to John Edward "Eddie" and Frances "Frannie" (Rhees) Matson. His father precedes him in death and his mother survives in Oakwood.

He is survived by two children: Tara (Mark) Klausing of Van Wert, and Justin Washburn of Dawson Springs, KY.

Larry was a retired farmer and had formally worked at Estle Body Shop, Defiance.

Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood with Pastor Stan Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Chapel Cemetery, Oakwood. A visitation will be held on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
