Ervin Myrle Johnson
CASCADE — Ervin Myrle Johnson, a retired sergeant in the army, 67, of Cascade, died Tuesday, July 17, 1990, at his home of natural causes.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 20, at the chapel at Mountain View Funeral Home, 8209 Fairview Avenue at Milwaukee Streets. Rev. William Williams, Idaho Veterans' Home Chaplain, will officiate. Cremation will precede the services. Private inurnment will be at a later date.
Ervin was a native of Kuna. He graduated from Kuna High, after which he entered the Army in 1943. He retired in 1960 at Ft. Lewis, Wash., after more than 17 years of military service. He served in the European Theatre and the Korean War. Since that time he had followed several types of employment, and working as a truck driver was among them. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting and golf.
He was a member of the Albert Jardine Post DAV #22.
Survivors include his sons, Larry, Gary, Randy, Wesley, and Timothy Johnson, all of Boise; a sister, Donna of Seattle, Wash.; brothers, Marion and Alton of Boise, and Dennis of Colorado; a half brother, Eldred Griffiths of Fruitland; 10 grandchildren, two step-children; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, and his parents.
