Vernon "Sam" Blair Bahret, 61 of Silver Lake, transitioned from this life to eternal life in heaven surrounded by his loving family. One day shy of his 62nd birthday.

Sam was born on January 13, 1962 in Onaga, Kansas to parents Blair Eddy Bahret and Carol Ann (Elder) Bahret. It was a very lively household with eleven siblings. Sam graduated from Onaga High School in 1980.

He married the love of his life Terri Lynne (Wilson) Bahret at the United Methodist Church in Silver Lake, KS. To this union they were blessed with two children William Bradley Bahret and Charlsie Bahret.

Sam retired from USD 372 Silver Lake School District where he was a custodian. In his spare time he enjoyed playing horseshoes, working with cattle on the farm, hunting, spending time with his family, grandchildren and attending their activities.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Roscoe Bahret and sister Illa Kay Koblar.

Sam is survived by his wife Terri Lynne Wilson Bahret , son William "Brad" (Katelyn) Bahret, Charlsie Studley, Five grandchildren Braxton Bahret, Brylin Studley, Gavin Studley, Kale Studley, Oaklee Bahret, siblings: Bert (Tina) Bahret, Ernie (Penny) Bahret, Earl (Julie) Bahret, Ella May Bahret, Arla Ogle, Karla Bahret, Bart (Marcia) Bahret, Robin Valez and Steve Bahret.

His family will be having a visitation service at the First Baptist Church of Silver Lake, 3439 NW Hoch Rd, Silver Lake, Kansas, January 25, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 PM and a Celebration of Life Service January 26, 2024 at 10:00 AM also at the church.
