Ambre Lee Cuthbert Wilson passed from this life on Saturday, December 16th, 2023 in Oakhurst, California with her daughter Michelle and son Robert at her side. Ambre is survived by her daughter Michelle, Sons Robert and Ryan, and 6 grandchildren residing in California and Washington State. She is also survived by her Mother Barbara Clemmons Cuthbert and 3 brothers, Dwight, Mike, and Tony. Ambre was born September 30th, 1957 in Flagler, Colorado to Dick and Barbara Cuthbert who lived at 947 North Main Street next door to Dwight and Betty Clemmons, (Barbara's parents). Larry Clemmons, (Barbara's brother) and his wife Sharon lived on the other side of Dwight and Betty, making this a very happy place to grow up. Ambre attended Flagler's school system until age 11 when her Father was moved to San Jose, CA in 1967 as a US Postal Inspector. Soon after in 1969, Dick was moved again to Los Angeles, CA where Ambre graduated High School at Taft High School in Woodland Hills, CA in 1976 simultaneously graduating with her Licensed Practical Nurse certification. Upon graduation, Ambre immediately supported herself by gaining employment and moving into an apartment all on her own. In 1978, Ambre met her first husband Bob Puls, they married and bought a home with a pool in Van Nuys, CA and began their family with Michelle and Robert. They had a very happy home in the San Fernando Valley where Bob drove a big rig and Ambre continued in her nursing career. Ambre and Bob separated in the late 80s and Ambre remarried to Stoney Wilson in the early 90s. Ambre had her second son Ryan, now of Vancouver, WA. Ambre and Stoney packed up their family in 2004 and moved to Flagler County, Florida to tend to her Mother after her father passed away. Ambre and Stoney raised the kids as best they could in Florida next door to her mother, but eventually moved back to Ventura, CA, until Ambre became disabled from her condition of debilitating Ataxia leaving her unable to walk. Michelle and Robert attended to the needs of Ambre bringing her 6 grandchildren to see her as often as possible once she was moved into assisted living in Oakhurst, CA. Ambre's grandchildren and children were the joys of her life and she treasured every moment she had with them. Prior to her passing, Ambre prayed with her family to be accepted into the loving arms of our Father and with joy in her heart accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and Redeemer. Dwight and Pam Cuthbert of Gilbert, AZ travelled to see her one last time in December and her Mother had one last phone call with her the morning of her passing. Her daughter Michelle, and her sons Robert and Ryan remained by her side comforting her the last weeks of her life. Ambre was the second oldest of seven children and joins her Grandparents Dwight and Betty Clemmons, her Father Dick Cuthbert, her Brothers Rick and Kelly Gene Cuthbert, her sister Valerie Anne Cuthbert, in peaceful repose at Flagler Cemetery, and niece Elizabeth Cuthbert in Palm Coast, FL. She is finally home in Flagler, the place all Cuthberts call home. Ambre will be missed by all who knew her as a kind, loving, and joyous mother, daughter, sister, and wife. In lieu of flowers, Ambre asks that her friends and family enjoy a nice home cooked meal together acknowledging the importance she placed on family and time spent with them. She truly valued these times more than any others and awaits her family in heaven to again enjoy a home cooked meal at the table God prepares for us all. Please remember her in your prayer before this meal to be enjoyed in her memory. Ambre's interment of ashes is planned for April 19th, 2024 at the Flagler Cemetery. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at St Mary's prior to the internment with a small gathering of friends meeting at the Flagler Baptist Church immediately following graveside interment.
